“We’re a loose affiliation of people who are all
working toward a Sustainable future. We work together, redefining the
way our city runs. Business, transportation, utilities, education –
we have high hopes for it all, although you’ll find our methods, our
approaches, our areas of focus are vastly different.
Sometimes we swap leads, but mostly we support each other in our parallel
courses. Typically, someone’s had a victory on a day when someone else
has had a rough go. There are times when this journey gets really challenging
and it’s good to know you’re not alone.
Our membership consists of people who seek out new ideas and begin to
incorporate these new ideas into the fabric of society.
We are the change makers, who adopt features of Sustainable living ahead
of the crowd. We seek the ideas out, we try them. We engage in the conversation
of how to refine solutions. We massage the solutions into practicality,
and we model them for others to see. We show the mainstream, through
our actions and our everyday living, that environmental change is possible,
it is enticing, it is fun, and it is desirable.”
