Joanne Poyourow is an author, an educator, a food gardener and a community-builder.
She is the initiator of Transition Los Angeles and the co-founder of the Environmental Change-Makers. She designed the Community Garden at Holy Nativity, and pioneered the concept for the Emerson Avenue Community Garden in the Westchester area of Los Angeles.
