At this point in history, we are on the cusp of a massive cultural transformation. This positive-focused talk shows you how to join in!
Based upon Joanne's What Can I Do? column and her ongoing work with the Environmental Change-Makers, this talk is rich with visuals and practical "can do" suggestions.
With oil prices climbing out of sight, it is clear that peak oil (the end of cheap oil) is here. This talk is also a great followup for viewers of the movie "An Inconvenient Truth." Learn about lower-carbon, power-down lifestyles.

This talk covers the formation concepts of the Environmental Change-Makers, and emphasises the power of a positive outlook, together with Sustainability concepts outlined here and here.

based on resources here. Includes demonstration of four different models (parabolic, panel, box oven) of solar cookers - both homemade and purchased. Plus cooking tips, recipes. A craft session to make a solar cooker can be incorporated into the event (photos). The presentation works well for a mixed audience of adults and older children.

A speaker's fee will be requested.

based on resources here. Shows how to reconsider our travel patterns, modes of transportation, and habitual destinations to ease into a lower carbon impact.
